ONE GRISLY DAY MEMBER AD:

Hey!
I am the drummer for One Grisly Day. We are a atmospheric, classical, melodic, operatic metal band out of North Royalton/Parma Ohio.
Right now we consist of:

Miranda - Female Operatic Voice
Allen - Drums
Joe - Vocals
Jim - Rhythm Guitar

We have Miranda also doing what she can on keyboards, nothing spectacular as she simply wants to sing.
Anyways...A few members left along the way, for their own personal reasons... Jason - guitars, Shawn - guitars, and Tom - Vocals. But that's ok.

We are looking to expand our sound and expand on musicans and musical form. We are interested in creating something different, something to catch someones eye, but nothing trendy or commercial, no. We want to write music that we want and hope that people will find it intriguing at the same time.
Some of our musical inspirations include - styles such as (Metal - Classical - Progressive Rock - Ambient)

Some bands we look up to are: Odes Of Esctasy (Greece), Dimmu Borgir (Norway), Mortiis (Norway), In The Woods (Norway),
Stormlord (Italy), Therion (Sweden), Somnus (Ohio), Sanctorum (Ohio - Our singer/guitars is Joe, the drummer for Sanctorum),
Dream Theater (USA), North Meadow Park (Cleveland, Ohio), Nightwish (Finnland), Ulver (Norway), Old Mans Child (Norway),
Rhapsody (Italy), Genesis (UK), Rush (Canada), King Crimson (UK), Children Of Bodom (Finnland),
Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi (Classical Geniuses), Switchblade Symphony (USA), Oxiplagatz (Sweden), Rain Fell Within (Virginia),
Trans-Siberian Orchestra (USA), Diabolical Masquerade (Sweden), Opeth (Sweden), Cradle Of Filth (UK),

...most all of these are probably bands you have never heard of...they are pretty obscure metal bands out of European countries,
but you may find something interesting about them if you were to be intruduced to them. Again, these are just our influences,
we are trying to make something unique and original, and we hope to have you, if interested bring your own influence into the band....
I, myself, am also a big progressive rock enthusiast, with bands like Genesis,
Rush, Dream Theater, Transatlantic, Devil Doll, Yes, King Crimson,
The Police, etc...but, thats only a part of what I like.

One Grisly Day, now that we have so far found at least one guitarist,
are looking to add piano/keyboards, string instruments such as violin, violia or cello, and possibly
flute to its rank. Even we hope to work with choir like vocals. We did have a two piece string section, but these two ladies have
their schooling in college to attend and won't be able to be a member of the band that is
needed to keep the band going..... We do miss them leaving our ranks, very talented people!!

We have concert experience and a gig coming up on November 4th, 2000. The annual event, THE MUSIC MACABRE 2000. This will be a huge event with 10 bands
in all, both in and out of state and STORMLORD, from ITALY may be a part of the show as well
.

I am writing in hopes that someone may be interested in attending one of our rehersals and try it out?
Maybe it will be something you will look forward to or enjoy. We hope that you will. Our location, as stated before, is
North Royalton, Parma area. We practice in either place, Parma or North Royalton, but each location is within
a few minutes of each other....If you would like to give me a e-mail that would be fine, at [email protected] or a call @ 440-582-8405.
Thank you for your time and I hope to have sparked some interest.

Sidecar auditioning guitarists

Us:
*We have a booking agent and have done, and plan on doing more, tours
*We have 2 Full Length releases and numerous EP's and 7"s.
*We are starting to record a new record very soon.
*We are going on tour in September possibly with Dan from 88 Fingers
Louis filling in on guitar.
*We practice 2 times (maybe more on special occasions) a week at
our practice spot Mentor,OH....
*We own a 24 track digital studio which we are constantly demoing new
songs in order to make them better and help produce ourselves.

Our Influences:
Avail, Pegboy, Misfits, Down By Law, DagNasty, Descendents, ALL, Maiden,
Queen, Boston, NoFX, Social Distortion, Stiff Lil Fingers, Gen X...

What we require:
A good, solid guitar player who has his or her own good equipment and lives
in the general Cleveland area. We do have alot of metal influences in our
sound, so we need a semi-technical player. We need someone who can and wants
to tour the country. We need someone who can sing backup vocals relatively
well. 21 and older would be ideal, but if you are bordering on this age, we
can try it out. Please don't bother if you are under 18 or planning on going
away to college...we need a full time player! If you are any kind of
substance abuser, don't reply. We love to drink, but I think you know the
difference between an abuser and a recreational user of drugs and alcohol.

Finally:
This is a very serious audition and it could lead to some great opportunities
to become the rocker you (and we) always wanted to be! Please respond back
to this e-mail only if you are serious about auditioning for us. You can
also reach me (steve) at 1-440-339-9553. Thank you Also..if you have any comments about this please post them on our guestbook
at our website WWW.Sidecarcentral.com

Punk Rock Band Needs Guitarist

Cleveland based punk rock band is in need of a good guitar player with some
background vocal abilities.

Our band is influenced by bands such as:
Avail, Down By Law, NOFX, Pegboy, ALL, Big Drill Car, Sidecar, Social Distortion,
Misfits, and a buttload of older metal bands! (Maiden, Slayer, Boston)

We are a touring band with a booking agent. We have made albums and are in
the process of a writing for new one. Our band will do tours...maybe as long
as 2 months in the near future, Maybe longer later on, but who knows. The
point is, we need someone who wants to tour and won't tell us he can't go on
a tour if one comes up.
Songwriting ability isn't a must at this point, but we will be open to any
ideas you may have in the future.
We practice 2 times a week (sometimes 3) in the evenings during the week.
You must have your own "good" equipment (no shitty Crate or Peavy amps and
Cort guitars!!!)
Oh! and please...18 or older...and not comitted to going to college.

If you can't keep up with any of these stipulations, please don't bother to
repond to this. And I'm sorry to all the people in other states that get
this...you won't ever get it agin!!! I promise!

Auditions will be set up on a personal basis . E-mail a reply
[email protected] , or call Steve@ 1-440-339-9553

Thank You
